Been looking for a movie to watch with the family this weekend? Look no further! Housefull 2, a Hindi comedy film directed by Sajid Khan and written by Farhad Samji, is coming to theaters nationwide Friday, July 26th. The sequel to Houseful (2010), features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin along with many others. Housefull stars Akshay Kumar as NRI Kabir Lal who decides to invest in his last resort of real estate—a run-down hotel in Khandala near Lonavala in India. While business in the hotel is in a downturn, he faces another crisis in the form of an impending marriage between his wayward son Rocky (Ritesh Deshmukh) and his childhood sweetheart Anu (Asin Thottumkal). The wedding brings together all their friends and relatives. While Kabir manages to convince them all to attend the wedding, he must also deal with problems ranging from a drunkard family priest, a lost invite card boy, thieves around the hotel grounds and a very problematic daughter-in-law. There are already three Housefull movies starring Akshay Kumar out there. Housefull (2010), Housefull 2 (2012) and Houseful 3 (2016). In the first movie, he is introduced as Kabir Lal. He is an NRI who has left India to live in London with his wife and son, Rocky. He returns to Mumbai for his father's funeral. At the funeral, he talks about how his father's death affected him greatly. He also talks about how although he left India at a young age, he still has great respect for his country and it's people. When the priest asks him what his father was like, Kabir goes on to describe his father in detail saying that he was honest, hardworking and most of all loyal. The movie then goes to how he meets all of his family members in Mumbai. He finds out that his father had a second wife, his third brother Rohan has a daughter. He also finds out that his bother, Sumir is in jail for murder, which is what caused Kabir to leave India in the first place. As the story continues, the viewers watch as Rocky reconnects with his father and learns about his past. He also helps him by stopping an upcoming wedding between Anu and someone else so that he can get back together with her. As the story continues, it is revealed that Kabir's father was murdered.
